The ML-CSA 3500 3G Cell Signal Amplifier is an ancillary “Plug & Play” device that connects in-line with any cellular-enabled router, modem, module, or gateway.  ML-CSA 3500 boosts UPLINK cell signal strength by up to 15dB to lock in your connection with cell towers.The ML-CSA 3500 outperforms a high gain yagi antenna 99% of the time in challenged cellular areas. A dependable cell connection is crucial for real time datacom applications, monitoring & control of remote assets.

The ML-CSA 3500 3G Cell Signal Amplifier is superior to other cell amplifiers & hi-gain antennas:

  • Passive Bypass Technology is a fail-safe feature that is designed to allow the cell signal amplifier to bypass itself during loss of power, when a fault is detected, or when amplification is not needed. NO other device has this feature and it’s vital for applications that are mission-critical for safety, security & liability reasons, e.g. Fire & Security Alarms and Patient Monitoring. (See Fig.1)
  • Auto Gain & Oscillation Control will automatically adjust the gain and output power to provide signal consistency if a signal anomaly occurs and to prevent interference with the Carrier’s network. If amplification is not needed, the booster goes into Passive Bypass Mode.
  • Variable Input Power Ranges: +8.0 to 36.0 VDC which is beneficial for applications with a variety of power requirements.

Passive Bypass feature allows the amplifier to passively bypass itself and become merely a pass through cable during these occurrences:

  • When amplification is not necessary, e.g. existing cell signal strength is adequate
  • When connected cell device goes into “Stand-By” Mode
  • When there is a power loss to amplifier
  • When a fault is detected

Passive Bypass technology is useful in applications where the amplifier is mobile, moving in and out of poor signal areas. The amplifier will bypass itself when in close proximity to cell towers. This serves as a safeguard feature, completely eliminating any potential for disruption to the cell network.

This unique feature is also extremely useful in fire & security system installations where a connection with the antenna must always be maintained, even with loss of power.

In other applications, e.g. remote solar-powered equipment, the cell device alternates from “Stand-By” to “Active” modes, transmitting data as needed. ML-CSA 3500 is designed to stay in Passive Bypass Mode if the connected system is in “Stand-By” and become active when the connected system is “Active”.
